Real Estate Buzz: Hotel/condos go together like love/marriage

In-city luxury condo/hotel projects are here to stay. Housing helps mitigate the risk, but the mixed-use projects are still complex, according to panelists at a recent forum put on by the Urban Land Institute's Seattle District Council.
"I don't think there will be another five-star hotel built in North America without the condominiums on top," said Bob Rennie, president of Rennie Marketing Systems. The event was called "Putting the Pieces Together: Strategies That Make Mixed-Use Developments Work."
