$28M for state to replace lead pipes

The Environmental Protection Agency announced yesterday that Washington will receive $28.65 million to help identify and replace lead service lines, preventing exposure to lead in drinking water.

New plan for Hanford cleanup

The Washington State Department of Ecology, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced revised cleanup plans last week for 56 million gallons of radioactive waste stored in underground tanks at the Hanford site in Richland.
