Fred Meyer is rethinking plans to turn its store in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood into a major mixed-use complex, according to project partners and a city official.
The grocery and general merchandise retailer had been contemplating a new 170,000-square-foot store, 26,300 square feet of shop space for other retailers, 250 housing units, a 680-stall parking garage, and a public plaza.
