Bills could bring data centers here

OLYMPIA — A coalition called Washington Needs Jobs said two bills have been introduced in the Washington Legislature that would make it easier to build data centers here.

SB 6789 and HB 3147 would allow a 15-month sales-tax exemption on the purchase and installation of computers and energy for new data centers in rural counties.
