Groups release U.S. green building code

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week, a number of national organizations released a set of model codes and standards for green buildings in the U.S. The code is meant to rapidly advance green building on a national level.

The International Code Council; the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers; the U.S. Green Building Council; and the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America launched the International Green Construction Code.
