Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn said he wants to expedite replacement of the deteriorating waterfront seawall and will propose putting a property tax measure on the ballot to raise about $250 million for the work.
The mayor wants to hold a special election on May 18. He said passage would require a 60 percent super majority.
