Can a soccer stadium spur $1.5B in redevelopment?

    A construction worker flattened asphalt last month at the new soccer stadium for the New York Red Bulls. The 25,000-seat stadium is said to be the costliest of its type ever built in the Major League Soccer system.

    HARRISON, N.J. — An intimate, soccer-only stadium rising in a careworn former industrial city is expected to be the crown jewel of Major League Soccer and one of the keys to a local redevelopment project.
