Helene and Rainier's repairs won't be easy

  • It's unclear how tunneling delays will affect the planned opening of Brightwater in mid-2011.

    Construction on a portion of the Brightwater Treatment System's 13-mile conveyance tunnel has been temporarily suspended to repair a tunnel boring machine.
