Today the Federal Transit Administration is scheduled to announce a big grant to Sound Transit for University Link, the 3.15-mile light-rail line between downtown Seattle, Capitol Hill and the University District. Sound Transit said it will get $813 million from the FTA.
The “full funding grant agreement” is the federal seal of approval for this project, which is estimated to cost $1.9 billion in year-of-expenditure dollars.
