MCA taps Kommers to run association

  • Industry veteran Ed Kommers has replaced Brian Garvey, who led the local mechanical contractors' association for 27 years.

    The board of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Western Washington has picked Ed Kommers to lead the organization, which represents union plumbing, pipefitting and HVAC contractors.

    Kommers took over last October for departing executive vice president Brian Garvey, who led the association for 27 years. Garvey could not be reached for comment.
