OLYMPIA — At the request of state Attorney General Rob McKenna and state Auditor Brian Sonntag, the state Legislature will consider a bill in its upcoming session that would strengthen the state's laws on open records and meetings.
Introduced by House Majority Leader Lynn Kessler, D-Port Angeles, House Bill 1017 would create a state commission that could enforce violations of the state's public records act and open public meetings act.
