Designer sought for Seattle skate park

SEATTLE — The Parks Department is seeking a consultant to design a skate park in Jefferson Park, at 3801 Beacon Ave. S.

Qualifications are due by 4 p.m. on Feb. 17 to Department of Parks and Recreation. The total budget is $1 million; construction is expected to cost $625,000. The skate park is slated to open in the summer of 2011.
