SR 520 bridge mediation team split on designs for west side

The state Route 520 mediation team is split between two designs for the west side of the SR 520 bridge after more than a year of meetings.

Some team members like the $4.6 billion Montlake interchange, known as “option A,” that would add a second bascule bridge next to the Montlake bridge and remove ramps on Lake Washington Boulevard into the Arboretum.
